How to measure for your 3D-printed helmet
A comfortable cosplay helmet starts with accurate measurements. Use a flexible measuring tape and keep it level without pulling it too tightly.
Measurements to take
- Head circumference: Wrap the tape around the widest part of your head, passing just above your eyebrows and ears.
- Front to back: Measure from the center of your forehead to the farthest point at the back of your head.
- Side to side: Measure across the widest part of your head from above one ear to above the other.
Send measurements in inches or centimeters and double-check each measurement before submitting it.
Standard and custom sizing
Many Bluesprints3D helmet listings offer standard sizes from S through XL. Custom Size Available options can be adjusted using the measurements you provide. Contact us before production if you are unsure which option to select.
Custom sizing is intended to improve overall fit, but individual head shape, hairstyle, padding and visor installation can affect the final feel.
Before ordering
- Confirm whether the listing is a raw DIY kit or a finished helmet.
- Read the product listing to see exactly which pieces are included.
- Ask about padding, visor material, magnets or hardware when they are not specifically listed.
- For raw helmet kits, allow room for sanding, finishing and any interior padding you plan to install.
